When standing up to begin rakat 2 and 4, Do NOT lift hands, but DO say "Allahu Akbar" (Takbir). When standing up to begin the 3rd rakat, DO lift hands shoulder-height and say "Allahu Akbar" (Takbir). If you are performing more than two rakats, then: Do not salam out (Tasleem) until after your last rakat.
From the forms of Remembrance after the Salat is to say: Subhaanallaah (Allah is free from imperfection), Alhamdulillaah (Praise be to Allah), La ilaaha illallaah (There is no true God except Allah) and; Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) twenty-five times, so it aggregates to a hundred. Another form is reciting:
Al-‘Allaamah ash-Shawkaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said, commenting on the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), in which it says: “When he says takbeer then say takbeer”: This indicates that the worshipper who is praying behind the imam should not start to say the takbeer until after the imam has finished saying it. But when you recite Bismillahi Allahu Akbar when slaughtering that any living being dislikes, you in fact are proclaiming one reality saying that, “I am the creation of Allah SWT and so is this animal and Allah SWT is the creator of all. He SWT has the sole right to decide who becomes beneficial for whom.
One Takbeer is obligatory which is Takbiratul Ehraam تكبيرة الإحرام which is the start of every Prayer (Salat). Other Takbeer are recommended and not obligatory at all. It is recommended to say Allahu Akbar before and after every Rokoo' and Sojood . It is recommended to raise both hands near the ear or near the neck.
While noting that “moderate Muslims” also say “Allahu Akbar,” McCain said the phrase is no more troubling that a Christian saying “Thank God.” But the way “Allahu Akbar” often appears in the media seems to serve a nefarious agenda: to instill fear of anyone who utters the phrase and to raise concerns even about Islam itself. It is also mustahabb to say takbeer, so he should say: Bismillaah, wa Allahu akbar (In the name of Allah and Allah is Most Great). Al-Bukhaari (5558) and Muslim (1966) narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two horned black and white rams.
But we lack in that sometimes we are sitting without saying anything, yet we could’ve declared the praise of Allah in some way. Subhanallah. Alhamdullilah. Allahu akbar. Think of it. Use those moments to say whilst you are driving, whilst you are walking, whilst you are talking.
